Scaramouche

Scaramouche - Scaramouche - 1981 - Musea

Good album from this obscure German seventies progressive rock band. The band played progressive rock reminiscent of early Yes, and Genesis, but also threw some fusion and blues into the mix. There are some great melodic pieces on the album, and some really striking instrumental solos. A very enjoyable album from a talented band. A.O.O.F.C would welcome any info on this band. This album is a 128 bit version, but sound is ok.

Hi A.O.O.F.C!!

Finally got the free time to check what's new with your blog. And this sure peaked my interest! Love those Prog bands that sometimes fall through the cracks. They usually offer sometime quite different than most bands out there (like most Neo-Prog bands - feh!) Scaramouche sounds like fun!

How goes it, -->D.Moose? Yes, eclecticism has run rampant on A.O.O.F.C lately, but I would be genuinely interested in your opinion of Scaramouche. Nobody seems to have heard of them!

Hello A.O.O.F.C.!

Finally got the chance to hear this album; Can't really hear the Yes/Genesis influence, but the blues/fusion was an interesting twist to the whole mix. The only thing I found a bit of a letdown were the vocals. Maybe it's just me, but he reminds me of Klaus Meine of The Scorpions without the nasal whine. Unique, but not Earth shattering. Thanks for the chance to check it out!

Howzitgoin' -->D.Moose! Never thought of the Scorpions! Vocals are somewhat similar. Definitely not earth shattering, but I'd still like to know more about the band. They may have something better to offer. Thanks, & TTU soon
