A New Beginning

The rapidly shrinking, sinking and stinking Rapidshare has blocked my account and deleted hundreds of my files. Is this the end of A.O.O.F.C? Watch this space, & thanks for all your support and encouragement. Keep on rockin' in the free world. Paul

T Lavitz, Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith, Scott Henderson

T Lavitz, Jeff Berlin, Steve Smith, Scott Henderson - Players - 1987 - Passport Jazz

It's a shame that this album is not more easily accessible. "Players" features five giants of jazz fusion and masters of their instruments. Scott Henderson plays some amazing blazing solos but the other guys play some "out of this world" stuff including the late, great keyboardist Terry "T" Lavitz who also produced the album. Tracks 1-4 were recorded live at Hop Sing's on January 19, 1986 by the Record Plant, LA, Mobile Unit No.3, and Tracks 5-8 were recorded at the Bijou Studios in August through October 1986. This is magical stuff and VHR by A.O.O.F.C. Any of these musician's works are worth checking out. Try Paul Barrere's "On My Own Two Feet" album featuring Terry "T" Lavitz. Terry Lavitz's "From The West" album can be found @ TLAV/FTW Listen to Steve Smith's drumming on Dweezil Zappa's "My Guitar Wants To Kill Your Mama" album. Jeff Berlin's "Lumpy Jazz" album, and Scott Henderson, Gary Willis & Tribal Tech's "Face First" album are also gems and worth checking out [All tracks @ 320 Kbps: File size = 104 Mb]
