Emilio Garcia

Emilio Garcia - Ultrablues - 2005 - Petroglyph

Emilio Garcia’s hard driving blues rock reflects the influence guitar masters such as Jeff Beck have had on the Chilean born musician through his rise to the top of the South American music scene. Emilio's burning electric guitar is dazzlingly accompanied by awesome musicians on keyboards, drums and bass and you hear a glimpse of Emilio's jazz potential and his Latin flamenco side. © 2000 - 2014 virtualWOMEX http://www.womex.com/virtual/petroglyph_records/emilio_garcia

Born and raised in Santiago, Chile, Emilio Garcia is one of that country's top guitar players. He studied under the tutelage of an American mentor who taught him, Blues, Jazz, Rock and Funk. But with his Latin heritage Emilio is also deeply involved in Flamenco. He easily transitions from his firey US influenced electric guitar style remenissant of Eric Johnson, Joe Satriani and Jeff Beck to a mellow acoustic Flamenco guitar with the style of Paco de Lucia. Though Ultrablues reflects his electric side masterfully you get a nice taste of his acoustic side as well. Emilio's varied influences are revealed on Ultrablues as you experience his original blend of Blues, Rock, Jazz, Funk and a taste of Flamenco all in one album. Destined to become an internationally recognized powerhouse on the guitar, Emilio has already taken crowds with a storm in limited engagements in the US. This CD was recorded in Chile and is proudly brought to you by US independent label Petroglyph Records who also discovered and brought you Francesca Ancarola and Antonio Restucci. Both of these talented artists include Emilio's lyrical guitar licks in their recordings. If you love instrumental electric blues guitar you'll love Ultrablues! © 1996 - 2014 CD Universe; Portions copyright 1948 - 2014 Muze Inc. http://www.cduniverse.com/productinfo.asp?pid=7165506&style=music&setpref=none

Good instrumental blues, rock, jazz, and funk with a strong taste of Latin/Flamenco. Although Emilio could have stepped up a couple of gears on his playing here, “Ultrablues” still reflects his electric side very effectively and his acoustic playing is superb. A very enjoyable album. Can anybody help with a full list of musician and composer credits? [All tracks @ 320 Kbps: File size = 120 Mb]
