Steely Dan - Billboard Live - Tokyo 24.8.07 - Zooye
Becker & Fagen had played Japan in 2000, but between 18/8/07 and 5/9/07, They played 15 concerts in Japan, as part of their "Heavy Rollers" tour. During this tour, they officially opened a chain of new Billboard Live clubs. The played six gigs in Tokyo, six in Osaka, and three in Fukuoka - all at Billboard Live clubs. Their first gig at the Billboard in Tokyo on 18/8/8 marked the official opening of the small club. It is circulating as an "unofficial" recording. This recording from the Billboard Live, Tokyo on 24/8/08 has also been released on CDR as "Steely Dan - Tokyo Last Night 2007, Live at Billboard, Live Tokyo, Tokyo, Japan, August 24th, 2007 (2nd Show) heavy rollers tour 2007" on ZOOYE. The Billboard Live venue in Tokyo is an intimate club, and will only hold an audience of 300 people or so. The band gave a decent performance with an appreciative audience. The sound quality on this recording is above average, but only fair. There are very few live Dan recordings of really good sound quality. If you are not familiar with Steely Dan, aka Walter Becker, & Donald Fagen, buy the Dan's "Aja" album, and any of their other albums. Donald Fagen's "The Nightfly" is great work of sonic art, and should be heard by anybody remotely interested in music of any genre.

Alright! Steely Dan is the best! This is like a belated Christmas gift. The best is the Gaucho Outtakes (not sure if you're familiar with that). So many classic unreleased songs...
Keep up the good work.
Hi!Anonymous. Thanks for comment. I worship Steely Dan. I have heard almost everything Dan related except The Steely Damned's version of The Second Arrangement written by Becker/Fagen. The Steely Dan outtakes of this song are widely available but I cannot find the Steely DAMNED's version anymore. It was available about 5 years ago, and now nobody has any info on it!! Thanks for comment, and keep in touch
Please possible repost ? Thank you
