Andy James is a sensational guitarist from Norfolk, England. For some time now, he has been regarded as one of Britain's greatest guitar wizards, and is now regarded as one of the most talented shred and metal guitarists in the world. Andy said, "From the first time I heard ‘Surfing With The Alien’ I knew I wanted to shred – it just sounded so fun and cool to do". He is a regular contributor to “Lick Library”, a dealer of guitar tuition merchandise, where he specialises in teaching lead techniques for heavy rock and metal. As well as "Machine", Andy has also recorded the solo albums, "In the Wake of Chaos" and "Andy James". He has also recorded two solo EPs and four studio albums with his band, the British metal group Sacred Mother Tongue. His musical influences include Dream Theater, Symphony X, Joe Satriani, Steve Vai, Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, Richie Kotzen, Greg Howe, Tony Macalpine, and Zakk Wylde. He is also a great fan of Shaun Baxter and Guthrie Govan. Andy is a much sought after guitar instructor, and it's easy to see why. This is a brilliant instrumental album, not only for shred and metal freaks but for anybody interested in great guitar playing. The album is HR by A.O.O.F.C. The 2009 CD issue gives no info on composers or musicians. Perhaps the original 2005 release did? Andy may have composed all the tracks and supplied all the instrumentation himself. If you have any info, please contact this blog. Listen to Andy’s s/t album and don’t dump your ’59 Strat in the nearest rubbish skip! (lol!) [All tracks @ 320 Kbps: File size = 92.3 Mb]
