Jeramy Norris Band

Jeramy Norris Band - BluesMan - 2007 - Doghouse Productions

BluesMan is more than a CD, it is a time machine taking listeners on a journey through era’s of music influenced by ZZ Top, Muddy Waters, BB King, T-Bone Walker, The Allman Brothers Band, Albert Collins, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Howlin’ Wolf, Ray Charles and Parliament Funkadelic. Back to a time when the rhythm, vocals and guitar expressed as one. Riddled with conviction, soulful lyrics, raw guitar attack and a tight rhythm section, Blues enthusiasts will have more than a plateful to enjoy. This CD was produced with the three most important aspects of music in mind, soul, feel and rhythm, thus raising the bar for contemporary blues recordings. One journey through this CD proves this to be true and then some. - from Editorial Reviews, © 1996-2011, Amazon.com, Inc. or its affiliates & Album Notes, © http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/jeramynorris

The Jeramy Norris Band is known for its hard driving and straightforward original soul, blues and rock music. Averaging over 250 festivals, clubs, corporate and private gigs per year the band is seasoned in delivering the highest quality music and entertainment. Jeramy Norris started playing rock and blues at the age of 15 when his dad handed him an old Harmony Baritone Ukulele. With the radio playing BB King's 'Rock me Baby' in the background, Jeramy learned to play his first blues song. Since that day, the guitar has been a lifetime fascination and passion. Jeramy is an explosive performer commanding the audience with his diverse style, hard-driving attack, raw intensity and phat, funky sound. He achieves a unique individuality while drawing from the legacy of the bone-cutting blues of Albert King, Albert Collins, BB King, Jimi Hendrix, Hubert Sumlin, Ry Cooder, Eric Clapton, Magic Sam, ZZ-Top, James Brown and Dwayne Allman. That's a broad palette, but it also shows how Jeramy Norris builds on the best influences to express the soulful extremes of his songs. His expressive style is the result of a lifetime of study and the relentless pursuit of music mastery. His playing is so tightly in the pocket of the beat that his lead guitar doubles as a rhythm instrument. This accomplished singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist has slowly but surely established himself as one of the most consistent and exciting talents not simply in blues music, but in our music world as a whole. His deep, warm vocals have the maturity and authenticity of a bluesmen many years his senior. Jeramy Norris has shared the stage with artist including, BB King, Jeff Beck, Little Charlie and the Night Cats, Robben Ford, Coco Montoya, Tommy Castro, Derek Trucks, Joe Louis Walker, Chris Cain, Ron Thompson, Los Lobos, Walter Trout, Norton Buffalo, and John Mayall. © 209Vibe.com http://www.209vibe.com/artists/view/219

From Stockton, Northern California, the Jeramy Norris Band play great "no sh*t" original soul, blues and rock music. Jeramy Norris is a very adept guitarist. His influences include greats like Albert King, Ry Cooder, ZZ Top, Ray Charles, and Joe Satriani. He composed all ten tracks on this album. There may be no classics here, but Jeramy and his band play great "down-to-earh" blues rock. There are many bands like this who constantly tour and play sell-out gigs without ever getting much credit for their work in keeping great blues rock alive. The band was due to release a new CD, "Love on the Table" album. Buy the Wingnut Adams Band's "The Blues Ain't Always Pretty" featuring Jeramy Norris on guitar, and support good earthy blues rock
