Mr.Fastfinger aka Mika Tyyskä (Born November 5, 1976) is a Finnish virtuoso guitarist, and multi instrumentalist who encompasses several genres of music. Originally, Mr. Fastfinger was an imaginary character, created and animated in Flash, to be "host" of the website GuitarShredShow.com, an award-winning combination of further animation and an online guitar school. The online guitar school opened 2005. The popular website resulted in Mika being asked to share and to teach in clinics and guitar camps in Europe and Japan. He released his first solo-album, The Way Of The Exploding Guitar, in 2009. His second album, “In Motion”, was released in 2012. Mika also plays in the band Mauron Maiden. - Wiki
14 tracks of instrumental action in bold stereo. Hard rock! Hark and behold, there's more than just flashy riffs and exploding solos. Full of strong melodies and rhythms, energy, joy, feelings and emotions it is. Versatile instrumental music, a mixture of influences and styles. This album is virtually a musical cinema and a true headphone experience. In general the compositions are simple in the core, but the melodies and textures on top make the music colorful and vivid. You can hear influences from 80's hard rock -sounds to progressive rock. From Worldmusic and film scores. Only for the strong at heart! © http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/mrfastfinger
This is a must have CD for anyone that appreciates good music and especially anyone that plays guitar. There is alot of people that can shred, but to deliver soul and feel AND shred is much more rare.Mr.Fastfinger has alot of depth to his music, and alot of emotion and this disc delivers a awesome variety of colors.I can't say enough about this cd.This is the best cd I have bought in a very long time. - © ***** Greg Britton “This guy is amazing and really original” © http://www.cdbaby.com/cd/mrfastfinger
Mr. Fastfinger has such a quirky and innovative way of playing, and manages to use shred techniques to get a really wide range of interesting and cool sounds from the guitar. He has a very distinct sound that you would instantly recognise as being Mr.Fastfinger, which is something most guitarists strive to achieve yet fail to do. In addition, the album has a wide range of subtle sound effects mixed with the music that while insignificant on their own, really add to the smoothness and overall listening experience of the album. The album features 14 tracks of pure unadulterated guitar wizardry, featuring smooth legato solos laid over the top of upbeat rhythms and many oriental sounding compositions. Pacing of the album is excellent, with plenty of variations in tempo and groove to keep the listener on their toes. While the album is fun and lively, there’s also a real depth to the writing – “Creatures of the Midnight” is more relaxed, calm and very melodic, and also one of the best tracks on the album. Super cool riffs appear all over the album, along with a huge range of upbeat melodies that make the songs really enjoyable to listen to. My favourite Mr. Fastfinger track ‘Epic’ appears on this album, and is an even longer version than the one found on the Melodic Soloists CD. Great! Other tracks on the album such as The Ninjas (I and II) have instantly become favourites of mine, solid riffs and the cheekiest of solos make for some awesome listening. This CD is one of the best shred albums released lately, and is definitely one of my picks to buy for 2010. If you’re just getting into virtuoso guitar and are looking for some albums to buy, this should be one of the first on your shopping list. Highly recommended. - Posted by & © Shredaholic on 6/23/10 © R. Baines 2014 Shredaholic.com http://www.shredaholic.com/mr-fastfinger-the-way-of-the-exploding-guitar-album-review.html
Very original instrumental hard rock from the Finnish virtuoso guitarist, and multi instrumentalist, Mr.Fastfinger aka Mika Tyyskä. Mika has said that “When producing music, for me the number one mission is to share feelings and emotions. To do best to make the listener move! People love stories. Instrumental music should be about telling stories and expressing emotions. I personally feel that there's enough of negative wibe music out there already. I'd rather want to ease the pain of the listener, give hope and bring the joy. Give them expoding postivie energy!” Guests appearing on the album include Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Mattias Eklundh (Freak Kitchen), and Christophe Godin (Möglbl).
