Get this crazy baby off my head!

Carl Filipiak

Carl Filipiak - Right On Time - 1993 - Geometric Records

Carl Filipiak may be just another guitarist “flying under the radar”, but he is a dynamic and exceptionally talented fusion guitarist. In their nominations for their “New Fusion Blood” article, Jazziz Magazine included Carl in a list of guitarists who could possibly fill that description. Jazz Times called him “a dazzlingly versatile guitarist” and also called “Right On Time” "Hot, Hot, Hot!" The album includes great artists like drummers Dennis Chambers and George Gray, with JIm Charsen on bass, Paul Soroka on keyboards, and the great Bob Berg on tenor sax. Carl penned all the tracks except Jimi Hendrix’s "Little Wing." Carl is a wonderful guitarist with a fantastic fluid technique and although he has played and recorded with some of the best musicians in the business, he still needs to be heard by a bigger audience. The album has been described as “high octane jazz fusion” album. It’s that and a lot more and HR by A.O.O.F.C.
